LED behaviors during setup
- Solid amber. The doorbell is not receiving enough power.
- Your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wired must be connected to a doorbell transformer with a voltage level of 16-24V AC. If your doorbell transformer is below the necessary voltage level, consult an electrician to replace your transformer and chime with one that is 16-24V AC and 10VA.

- Off. The doorbell is not receiving power.
- Check if the power at the breaker is on.
- Check if the wiring to the doorbell is secure.

- Flashing amber. A Wi-Fi error has occurred, or your doorbell failed to scan the QR code on the Arlo Secure App when connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Make sure that both your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wired and your mobile device are connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. - Solid white. The doorbell is powered on and ready for setup.
LED behaviors after setup
After you set up your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wired, you can configure whether the LED flashes when certain events happen. Access your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wired’s device settings to turn the LED on or off.
- Slow breathing white. The doorbell detected motion.
- Solid white. The doorbell is connected to a call.
- Fading white. The call from the doorbell ended.
